Why MOTHER Exists
Being a mother and managing a household is full-time work, yet it’s often treated as if it doesn’t count alongside paid employment.
I created MOTHER because I lived this reality.
From becoming a teenage mother at seventeen to running a household of six to eight people. Like most mothers, I contributed financially to the household as well.
I know how to disguise burnout. I know loneliness in a full house. I know situational, physical and mental challenges caused by the invisible load of running a household.
I paid generously for help, but it was often unreliable. I had to follow people up, call them back to redo their ‘work’, micro manage them over and over again, only ending up frustrated, defeated and doing the jobs myself.
There was even a time I developed an attachment to my nanny. Not because of dependency but because of gratitude. Someone had finally lightened part of my load.
Then she left.
And slowly, I began to unravel. Never fully though.
Because I am the mother.
As some of the personal load eventually eased, a desire emerged.
To support other mothers living the reality I had known so well. To offer the care and consistency I had once searched for myself.
So I created the service I would have hired. The service I needed.
That is why MOTHER exists.
MOTHER concierge is designed to be reliable, consistent, and deeply respectful of the invisible labour mothers carry. It is intentionally limited in capacity so families receive real care — not rushed, transactional help.
This is support that stays.
Care you don’t have to manage.
A service that gives you, the mother, what you so often give everyone else.
A mothering experience — for the mother.
